It’s that time of year when giving is all around us! Loved ones may be asking what they can gift you for the holiday season and you may be wondering what to give your friends and family. Skip the chocolates, sweets, cookies, and more. So many of us are overrun with sugar this time of year, leading to energy crashes, fatigue, and even feeling cranky: no one needs another reason to feel run down and stressed this holiday season. Check out these healthy holiday gift ideas for yourself, a friend, or a loved one:
Stay Hydrated:
First things first, staying hydrated is an all-year-round goal of mine. I find it helpful to stay hydrated when I like the vessel I drink out of. It may sound silly, but having a water bottle that isn’t a hassle to clean or take too long to open or breaks is a detriment to staying hydrated. Did you know that you should be getting half your body weight in ounces of fluid a day? Broths, smoothies, and decaffeinated teas count too but water is the most important. I love this water bottle because it is easy to clean, sturdy (I can’t tell you how many glass bottles I have dropped in the parking lot!), and fast to drink from.
Blend it Up!
Smoothies are an easy and quick way to get a healthy breakfast or meal on the go packed with nutrients from fresh or frozen fruits, leafy greens, protein powder, seeds, and more! Did you know that as a woman over 50 you should aim to get about 30 grams of protein for each meal? Here are 2 blenders that I love and use!

The Best Home Workout Equipment
This year home gyms are the rage. You can get a great workout in at home with minimal equipment. Even better if you work with a virtual personal trainer like me and my team. But these are a few of my favorite go-to pieces of equipment that help to make the most of my at home workout.
Versatile Weights and Rack
These weights are a great set with the right range of weights to get you back into workouts. I love the neoprene coating that is easy on the hands. And the stand is sleek and sturdy! Not sure where to get started with these weights? Check out this little at-home bite-sized exercise snack workout video you can do with your weights.
Resistance Band Set
There are so many different exercises you can do with resistance bands. I love this set of resistance bands because there are no pesky handles to get in the way and you have a variety of resistance levels to work up to or use for different body areas, like upper and lower body. Here is a quick at-home bite-sized snack workout video you can do with your resistance bands.
The Best Yoga Mat with Cushion
This is my favorite yoga mat. I use it mostly for my virtual workouts and not so much for yoga Doing exercises on the floor really works your core, your hips, and your upper body in a way that standing exercises don’t do. Each of my virtual workouts includes a combination of standing and dynamic exercises followed by lying down exercises on a mat. I love the extra cushion this yoga mat provides and mine has held up for years! Check out these quick core exercises you can do on the floor with your mat!
Balance Cushion
Speaking of extra cushion, if you want to workout on your knees but you struggle to put pressure on them, this cushion is phenomenal. It is so reasonably priced. You can use it for bird dogs, child’s pose, and even use it for standing balance exercises for more of a challenge! I have had members buy several so they can put one on each floor of their house and use it if they need to reach under a bed or get down on the floor.

Soothe Your Body!
Aches and pains pop up at the most random times! Ease your aches with an Epsom salt bath or try the blue stick from Doterra. I love to pamper myself and soothe my aches naturally with these.
